Striving for mental and emotional wholeness is crucial for the prosperity of a person’s wholeness, involving identifying and managing emotions and thoughts. Maintaining a positive mindset and releasing negative emotions help create a peaceful lifestyle. God offers support, and individuals are encouraged not to give up on themselves.
When we dwell on thoughts, positive or negative, they eventually seep into our hearts and shape our emotional responses. For example, if we repeatedly think about a past mistake, it can lead to feelings of guilt and regret. On the other hand, reflecting on our achievements can boost our self-esteem and confidence. These thoughts create our environment and mold our attitude and character. A person who consistently thinks positively is likely to develop a hopeful outlook, while someone who focuses on negative thoughts may become pessimistic and cynical.
Achieving mental and emotional wholeness is crucial for maintaining a joyful and peaceful lifestyle. Practicing mindfulness and meditation can help us manage our thoughts and emotions effectively. Engaging in activities that bring us joy, such as hobbies or spending time with loved ones, can also contribute to our overall well-being.

Remember, it’s perfectly fine to say NO! Taking time for yourself is important. Embrace the beauty of each day. God has blessed us spiritually and naturally. As it says in Psalms 118:24, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” So, seize the moment and smile!

When negative or sad thoughts come to mind, remember, brethren, to focus on whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

When the pandemic hit in 2020, it brought fear and anxiety to many. Countless individuals faced job losses, and numerous small businesses couldn’t survive. This crisis was further compounded by the intensification of racial issues, with ongoing injustices and killings of African American people taking a toll on the mental health of many. Even before the pandemic, people were already dealing with personal challenges. The world is grappling with various crises affecting mental well-being, and we need encouragement.

Before the world was formed, God knew the events that would occur and what is still to come. Nothing is surprising to him because he is all-knowing. God knows the frailty of our minds and our physical bodies. He knows that the mind and physical body cannot handle the stress, frustration, and burdens in personal lives and the world. God’s word says 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. This is one of many scriptures about releasing your care.

Who better to understand what we are dealing with than Jesus Christ? Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” Jesus endured one crisis after another. He endured hate, rejection, betrayal, and beating of his body and mind. Jesus went through an unexplainable suffering; what we endure is never to be compared to what our Savior endured. Luke 22:15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer; Luke 22:41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done. Jesus is still hated and rejected this very day.

John 19:1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and scourged him.
2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
