God is in Control

Striving for mental and emotional wholeness is extremely important for the well-being of a person. We must learn how to obtain and maintain peace and look for positive ways to release frustration, anger, insecurities, etc. In addition, we must identify the thoughts or situations/circumstances that trigger our emotions. What we meditate on affects our actions. When we meditate on our thoughts whether good or bad for a while, they will filter down into our hearts, and affect our emotions to react positively or negatively. The thoughts we meditate on create our atmosphere and form our attitude and character. Mental and emotional wholeness is a major key to having and maintaining a joyful and peaceful lifestyle. We must strive to have that abundant life Jesus promised in St. John 10:10

Please understand that it is okay to say NO! It is all right to spend time alone to care for you. We must see the beauty within the day that God has allowed us to wake up to see spiritually and naturally. Psalms 118: 24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. SEIZE THE MOMENT! JUST SMILE!

When the negative or sad thoughts come in your mind, remember brethren whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Many people were scared and nervous when the pandemic hit in 2020. Numerous people were laid off from their jobs, many lost their jobs, and some small businesses did not survive. The pandemic was a huge crisis but then the Goliath of racial issues intensified. The ongoing killings of African American people and the injustices of it all have put a major strain on the mental state of many people. There are different crises affecting people’s mental well-being. The world is in turmoil, and we need encouragement. Before the pandemic, people were already dealing with personal dilemmas.

Before the world was formed, God knew the events that would occur and what is still to come. There is nothing a surprise to him because he is all-knowing. God knows the frailty of our minds and the physical body. He knows that the mind and the physical body cannot handle the stress, frustration, and burdens in our personal lives and the world’s. God’s word says 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. This is one of many scriptures about releasing your care.

Who better to understand what we are dealing with than Jesus Christ. Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” Jesus endured one crisis after another. He endured, hate, rejection, betrayal, beating of his body and mind. Jesus went through a suffering that is unexplainable; what we endure is never to be compared to what our Savior endured. Luke 22:15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer; Luke 22:41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done. Jesus is still hated and rejected this very day.

John 19:1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and scourged him.
2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
